The Data Appeal Company has been chosen as the data partner for Skift’s Travel Health Index, a key platform for analysing trends in the tourism industry.
Starting this year, Data Appeal will provide data on traveller sentiment, flight searches, and bookings to support the creation of the Travel Health Index.
What is the Skift Travel Health Index?
The Skift Travel Health Index is a real-time measure of the travel industry’s performance and its main sectors across 22 countries.
This dynamic tool serves as a practical resource for travel companies, supporting strategic planning and identifying potential growth areas.
Initially launched in May 2020 by Skift Research as the Skift Recovery Index to track the sector’s rebound from the pandemic, it evolved into the “Skift Travel Health Index” at the start of 2022.
The inclusion of new indicators and partnerships with various data providers has continuously enriched the tool.
Each month, Skift releases an in-depth analysis of the travel landscape based on data from its partners.
With 90 different travel indicators sourced from 22 data partners, the addition of Data Appeal has made the index more comprehensive than ever for assessing the global travel industry’s performance.
