Se trata de un fen\u00f3meno antiguo, puesto que cualquier proyecto basado en estad\u00edsticas ha necesitado siempre herramientas de cribaje para asegurar que los datos recogidos son reales, completos, correctos y relevantes para el estudio que se lleva a cabo en cada momento. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9, entonces, se habla hoy m\u00e1s que nunca del Bad Data? De entrada por su coste econ\u00f3mico.<\/p>\n<p>La Universidad de Harvard se hac\u00eda eco, en el \u00faltimo cuatrimestre de 2016, de un informe de IBM que cifraba en m\u00e1s de 3,1 billones de d\u00f3lares el impacto negativo del Bad Data en Estados Unidos. A la vista de esta cifra, se trata de una amenaza real y muy importante.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfExiste el Bad Data tur\u00edstico? Cualquier conjunto de Big Data puede contener datos err\u00f3neos, con el peligro que comportan. Los datos err\u00f3neos pueden tergiversar an\u00e1lisis.
